Hnnn... I didn't hate him or nothin'. [He's surprised Kefka did. But then, Kefka's gone from thinking of the boy's parents to pointing out, after wanting to "bring him up" to show the carnage, that he was too dead to complain. Maybe he should re-think his sanity classification.

He made us look bad. The community is supposed to gather legendary heroes and villains from the best of stories. He was bringing down the place; any twit can do what he did.

[He bothered Kefka; an incompetent, power-hungry bully with no ambition has no place in the community. If he weren't born into power, he'd be dead already. Survival of the fittest, right?]

[And with that thought, Kefka bends forward and unfurls his wings; four feathered white, two leathered black, and all of them looking too big on him.]

[A lot of things tend to look too big on someone like Kefka; the guy's a splinter off a bean pole. Greed's not exactly sure why Kefka ended up with wings in the grand scheme of things, but magic is like alchemy: you can probably assume somebody fucked up something somewhere to lead to all the really fun stuff.] You make the community sound like one of those Grail War things... Anyway, gimmie a riding... thingy.

Didn't think the older one was entertaining, huh? [The conversation is absent. Greed eyes the pages with an impressed whistle before plopping comfortably onto it and shifting on the pages, absently wondering if he's going to end up smearing ink pages or if he's sitting on something's face. It was a damned shame occult books in his own world didn't have these kind of functions. Still thinking of most forms of "magic" in terms of alchemy, a familiar mysterious power fueled by fields of science about as unknown, he had to wonder if this sort of thing was powered by some kind of array, or if it was some kind of chimera with a non-living thing, or...

It's not an academic curiosity so much as a sense of "I want one. ...What exactly is it, now that I want it?"]
