It was a damned shame occult books in his own world didn't have these kind of functions. Still thinking of most forms of "magic" in terms of alchemy, a familiar mysterious power fueled by fields of science about as unknown, he had to wonder if this sort of thing was powered by some kind of array, or if it was some kind of chimera with a non-living thing, or...
